Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Recently, BYD officially launched its new-generation mainstream commuter vehicle, the BYD SEAGULL, in Ecuador. The launch event was held in Guayaquil, the largest city in Ecuador.

The BYD SEAGULL adopts the "Ocean Aesthetics" design concept and is built on the e-Platform 3.0. This model boasts a range of 400 kilometers, meeting the needs of daily urban commuting and providing consumers with an eco-friendly and efficient travel option. It features a safety body structure exclusive to battery electric vehicles and is equipped with a Blade Battery, along with six airbags. In terms of intelligent features, the vehicle includes a 10.1-inch adaptive rotating floating pad and an intelligent network system, ensuring users enjoy a fun and smart driving experience.

"We are excited to present the BYD SEAGULL model in the Ecuadorian market, a vehicle that combines safety, comfort, and versatility. This launch reflects our unwavering commitment to sustainable innovation, offering consumers a greener and more efficient solution for their mobility needs. The BYD SEAGULL serves as an ideal first electric car for many, challenging the misconception that a high-tech electric vehicle must come with a hefty price tag," says Santiago Mena, Brand Manager of Andor Corporation, BYD's dealer partner in Ecuador.

Currently, BYD has launched several new energy vehicle models in Ecuador, including the HAN EV, YUAN PLUS, DOLPHIN, and TANG EV. With the launch of the SEAGULL model, BYD will inject new momentum into the electrification of the local automotive market. As of now, BYD has established five sales points in Ecuador's passenger car market and plans to expand its sales network to ten by 2024.
