Shanghai (Gasgoo)- In May 2024, ZEEKR, the premium electric vehicle maker under Geely Holding, delivered 18,616 new vehicles, representing a year-on-year surge of 115% and a month-on-month increase of 16%, setting a new historical high, according to ZEEKR's press release issued via its WeChat account.

By the end of May 2024, ZEEKR's cumulative deliveries have exceeded 260,000 units.

Currently, ZEEKR has four models on the market: the ZEEKR X SUV, the ZEEKR 001 shooting brake, the ZEEKR 009 MPV, and its first sedan, ZEEKR 007.

Recently, on May 24, ZEEKR began deliveries of its four-seater ultra-luxury flagship, the ZEEKR 009 Grand. This model hit the market in late April with an official starting price of 789,000 yuan. It is reported that the ZEEKR MIX will also go on sale in the second half of this year.

ZEEKR has been making significant strides lately in funding progress. On May 10, ZEEKR successfully went public in the United States, listing on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "ZK." It set a new record for the fastest IPO for a new energy vehicle brand, achieving this milestone in just 37 months from its launch.

Due to oversubscription, ZEEKR expanded the IPO size, issuing a total of 21 million ADSs (American Depositary Shares) at $21 per share, raising approximately $441 million. ZEEKR stated that if the underwriters exercise their over-allotment option, the total issuance would expand to 24.15 million ADSs, raising approximately $507 million.

Zimbabwe's Finance Minister Ncube Mthuli stated unequivocally on June 24 that, despite a collective industry request for a postponement, the government will not extend the ban on lithium concentrates exports originally scheduled to take effect in January 2027. He noted that enterprises unable to build their own plants could be encouraged to sign processing trade agreements with supplied materials with companies possessing processing capacity. The minister's remarks came after most of the country's lithium producers requested more time last week to complete the construction of beneficiation plants.
