Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese EV maker XPENG recently launched its all-new AI-powered Tianji OS at the Auto China 2024. This marks the industry's first comprehensive application of AI technology in both intelligent cockpits and smart driving systems, said XPENG.

The AI Tianji OS debuts the industry's first mass-produced 2K pure visual occupancy network large model, identifying every detail of dynamic and static obstacles with over 2 million high-precision grids. It also introduces the XPlanner neural network-based planning and control large model, featuring long-time sequences, multi-objects, and strong reasoning capabilities, giving vehicles enhanced thinking and learning abilities.

At the core of the AI Tianji OS lies its powerful AI large model. This model not only deeply perceives and predicts the vehicle's driving environment but also customizes settings based on users' driving habits and preferences, offering a more intuitive and intelligent driving experience. For instance, it accurately memorizes users' driving routes, generating personalized routes for a comfortable and familiar journey.

In terms of intelligent cockpit, the AI Tianji OS demonstrates its prowess by integrating and optimizing various functions through the central control screen, providing users with a more convenient and efficient interface.

According to XPENG's plan, the AI Tianji OS will be rolled out in May this year, covering all Pro and Max versions of models such as the XPENG X9, G6, G9, and P7i.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
