Jiang Wei, Vice President of the China Iron and Steel Association, said at an information conference held in Beijing on the 30th that the steel industry had actively implemented the new development concept. As of April 23, 2024, 136 steel enterprises have completed or partially completed the ultra-low emission transformation, assessment, and monitoring. Among them, 95 enterprises have completed the ultra-low emission transformation of the entire process, involving crude steel production capacity of approximately 449.5 million tons, with an investment of approximately 453.8 yuan per ton of steel for the ultra-low emission transformation.

[ Bharat Coking Coal Output Grows 2.8% in August ]

Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) announced that its coking coal production increased by 2.8% year-on-year to 2.18 million tonnes in August 2026. Despite a sharp 65.9% drop in non-coking coal output, the core metallurgical segment drove total raw coal production to 2.21 million tonnes for the month. Opencast mining operations were the primary contributors to this volume, generating 2.19 million tonnes of the total yield.
