[China Iron and Steel Association: Production Regulation Measures Will Be Further Optimized and Precisely Targeted This Year] Shi Hongwei, Deputy Secretary-General of China Iron and Steel Association and Director of the Market Research Department, said at a press conference that there are two factors leading to the year-on-year decline in profits in the first quarter of this year. One is that supply exceeds demand, and the other is that raw material costs have risen significantly. This year's production regulation measures of the five ministries and commissions will be further optimized and precisely targeted on the basis of previous measures.

[ Bharat Coking Coal Output Grows 2.8% in August ]

Despite a sharp 65.9% drop in non-coking coal output, the core metallurgical segment drove total raw coal production to 2.21 million tonnes for the month.
