The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will hold a work conference on stabilizing growth and increasing efficiency of steel production enterprises tomorrow. According to the Financial Association, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's raw materials industry department plans to convene a meeting with more than ten leading steel enterprise groups including Baosteel Group and Ansteel Group tomorrow morning. The meeting will comprehensively understand the production and operation of the steel industry, deeply analyze the difficulties and underlying reasons faced by the current industry development, and better promote the stable operation and healthy development of the steel industry in order to formulate relevant policies in the future. [ Bharat Coking Coal Output Grows 2.8% in August ]

Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) announced that its coking coal production increased by 2.8% year-on-year to 2.18 million tonnes in August 2026. Despite a sharp 65.9% drop in non-coking coal output, the core metallurgical segment drove total raw coal production to 2.21 million tonnes for the month. Opencast mining operations were the primary contributors to this volume, generating 2.19 million tonnes of the total yield.
