[Net imports of domestic primary aluminum exceed 470,000 tons in January-February 2024] According to customs data, the total import of domestic primary aluminum in January-February 2024 was 472,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 214.7%. The total export of domestic primary aluminum in January-February was 985 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 73%. The net import total in January-February was around 471,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 221.9%. In terms of the source of imported primary aluminum, the total import from Russia in January-February was about 277,000 tons, accounting for 58.7% of the total import. The import from India was about 64,000 tons, accounting for 13.7% of the total import.

Xinjiang Boyuan Aluminum Co., Ltd. is making every effort to advance the construction of its new-type aluminum semis project with an annual capacity of 150,000 mt.
