SMM Building Materials Inventory: Table demand exceeds cumulative inventory, expected to achieve de-stocking next week? On March 7th, the total national thread inventory of SMM was 12.3078 million tons, an increase of 422,800 tons compared to the previous period and an increase of 198,100 tons compared to the same period last year; the total national plate screw inventory was 3.3237 million tons, an increase of 126,900 tons compared to the previous period, and a decrease of 364,700 tons compared to the same period last year...

[ Bharat Coking Coal Output Grows 2.8% in August ]

Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) announced that its coking coal production increased by 2.8% year-on-year to 2.18 million tonnes in August 2026. Despite a sharp 65.9% drop in non-coking coal output, the core metallurgical segment drove total raw coal production to 2.21 million tonnes for the month. Opencast mining operations were the primary contributors to this volume, generating 2.19 million tonnes of the total yield.
