Post-holiday steel mills replenish inventory, some coke enterprises may increase production. Following the Spring Festival holiday, coke prices are expected to continue to remain stable, and coal mines have also started to take time off. There have been no new transactions for coking coal, and coking costs have remained steady. The profit and loss situation for most coke enterprises may not change after the Spring Festival. However, unchanged profit and loss does not mean that the resumption of work will remain unchanged. After the holiday, many steel mills may replenish their inventory, leading to some coke enterprises having the intention to increase production. [ Bharat Coking Coal Output Grows 2.8% in August ]

Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) announced that its coking coal production increased by 2.8% year-on-year to 2.18 million tonnes in August 2026. Despite a sharp 65.9% drop in non-coking coal output, the core metallurgical segment drove total raw coal production to 2.21 million tonnes for the month. Opencast mining operations were the primary contributors to this volume, generating 2.19 million tonnes of the total yield.
