Cobalt Salt Prices Remain Stable Despite Holiday Slowdown

【SMM Analysis: Cobalt salt prices continued to remain stable this week】Cobalt salt prices continued to remain stable this week. On the supply side, with the approach of the Spring Festival and the continuous increase in raw material costs, smelters have reduced production and taken holidays, leading to a decrease in market supply. On the demand side, most buyers have completed their stocking work before the New Year, and the current market demand has weakened. Companies generally adopt a wait-and-see attitude, expecting a recovery and warming of the downstream market. On the trading side, cobalt salt prices are still relatively low, and sellers are waiting for a price increase and do not have a strong desire to ship, while buyers tend to wait for market changes and are not in a hurry to make further purchases. Overall, in the context of weak supply and demand, the overall trading atmosphere in the cobalt salt market has remained relatively subdued this week. In the short term, the holiday effect may cause a further decline in market trading volume, and spot prices may continue to remain stable. The future trend of cobalt prices will depend on the recovery of market demand after the New Year.

Battery-Grade Lithium Sulfide: Will Q4 See a Spike?
Key takeaway upfront: A Q4 spike is unlikely, but we do expect continued moderate growth. Monthly output is likely to settle in the 9–10 tonne range – a modest step-up from Q3, not an explosive leap.
