Beijing (Gasgoo)- On January 26, global leader in embedded development software and services, IAR, and Chinese automotive chip manufacturer YTMicro announced a strategic cooperation.

The strategic alliance is marked by the comprehensive support for YTMicro’s YTM32 series MCUs, compliant with automotive standards, in the latest release of IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm 9.50. This collaboration aims to catalyze innovative development within China's automotive industry.

YTMicro specializes in high-performance automotive controller chip design. With a focus on creating a robust automotive IC design and validation platform, adhering to AEC-Q100, ISO-26262 functional safety, and ISO-21343 information security standards, YTMicro swiftly introduced multiple 32-bit automotive-grade high-performance controller chips with proprietary intellectual property.

YTMicro has successfully established a complete "General MCU + Specialized SoC" product matrix, covering 90% of applications in the vehicle’s body, cabin, chassis, powertrain, and autonomous driving domains. Notably, the YTM32B1L and YTM32B1M MCU product series have already realized a cumulative shipment of millions of sets, securing over 300 designated automotive production projects.

On the other hand, the IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm, IAR's flagship product and a favorite among millions of developers globally, stands out for its exceptional code optimization capabilities. Beyond unlocking the full potential of the selected MCU, it ensures high application efficiency. The tool suite offers powerful debugging features, including flexible code and data breakpoints, runtime stack analysis, call stack visualization, and code coverage analysis.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
