[National Building Materials Inventory Overview on January 25th] On January 25th, SMM's total rebar inventory this week was 6.3961 million tons, an increase of 367,700 tons compared to last week, a 6.10% increase from the previous month, and a 12.72% increase compared to the lunar year; the total inventory of nationwide wire rod was 1.6461 million tons, an increase of 110,100 tons compared to last week, a 7.17% increase from the previous month, and a 4.5% increase compared to the lunar year.

[ Bharat Coking Coal Output Grows 2.8% in August ]

Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) announced that its coking coal production increased by 2.8% year-on-year to 2.18 million tonnes in August 2026. Despite a sharp 65.9% drop in non-coking coal output, the core metallurgical segment drove total raw coal production to 2.21 million tonnes for the month. Opencast mining operations were the primary contributors to this volume, generating 2.19 million tonnes of the total yield.
