According to the profit statement of imported ore, the profit of imported ore remained basically unchanged compared to the previous period, and multiple varieties of iron ore still showed a state of loss. In this period, SMM's global iron ore shipping volume was 29.08 million tons, a significant decrease of 18.1% compared to the previous period. Both the shipping volume from Australia and Brazil saw a significant decline. Additionally, due to the pressure of domestic port clearance, the total volume of ore arrived at the port was 25.2047 million tons, a significant decrease of 10.27% compared to the previous period. The impulse from overseas mines has basically ended and is expected to return to normal levels later. However, the volume of ore arrived at the port may remain at a high level. The overall supply is still loose. On the demand side, on one hand, it is due to the approach of the Spring Festival, and on the other hand, the terminal demand continues to weaken. Some steel mills have added blast furnace maintenance plans, and molten iron production is running at a low level. There may be a risk of weakening prices in the near future, and it is expected that the profit of imported ore will continue to be under pressure.
