Brazil's gold reserves rise to $8.61 billion. Brazil's official reserves have reached their highest level since February 2022. According to data from the Central Bank of Brazil, the country's official reserves reached $355 billion in December, an increase of $6.63 billion, or 1.9% month-on-month, and a 9.3% year-on-year increase. Gold reserves increased by 1.4% month-on-month and 14% year-on-year, reaching $8.61 billion. Foreign currency assets increased by 1.8% month-on-month and 17% year-on-year, reaching $317 billion.
