Guangdong Province and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement for New Energy Storage Innovation Center

The Guangdong Provincial Government and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology have signed a strategic cooperation agreement. On December 24th, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology officially approved Guangdong's establishment of a national-local joint innovation center for new energy storage, making it the first manufacturing innovation center in the province to be jointly built by the national and local governments. This is also the only national innovation center in the field of new energy storage. The energy storage center is led by the Southern Power Grid, and is jointly established with leading upstream and downstream enterprises in new energy storage materials, chips, batteries, system integration, and investment and operation. It focuses on key areas such as electrochemical energy storage, mechanical energy storage, superconducting energy storage, thermal energy storage, and hydrogen energy, to carry out key technology research and development and application of scientific and technological achievements."
