CME to add weekly options for metals
December 21, Jin Futures - The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) announced this week that it will add weekly options expiring on Tuesdays and Thursdays for gold, silver, and copper starting January 22 next year, complementing the weekly options introduced by CME last year that expire on Mondays and Wednesdays. CME Managing Director Jin Hennig stated that more and more of their clients are turning to weekly options to hedge direct risk exposures during critical economic indicator releases, including the Consumer Price Index, Federal Reserve meetings, and unemployment reports. With a contract expiring every trading day, clients are able to maximize flexibility in adjusting investment portfolios and promptly manage macroeconomic risks. (Futures Daily)
