In October 2023, China's aluminum scrap imports reached 154,200 mt, up 2.22% YoY and up 5.48% MoM, as per the General Administration of Customs.

In October 2023, China's aluminum scrap imports reached 154,200 mt, up 2.22% YoY and up 5.48% MoM, as per the General Administration of Customs. January-October 2023 saw 1.422 million mt imported, up 12.55% YoY. Malaysia led October imports with 28,600 mt. The top five—Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, the UK, and Canada—totaled 93,700 mt, 60.77% of the month's imports.
