Recently, China Energy Construction Jiangsu Electric Power Construction Company successfully completed the Grade A overhaul project of the 1st steam turbine generator unit at the Guoneng Chenjiagang Power Plant in Jiangsu Province, achieving grid-connected power generation. The project is located in Chenjiagang Town, Xiangshui County, Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, with a total installed capacity of 1320 megawatts and an annual power generation of approximately 8 billion kilowatt-hours. The first phase of the project saw two ultra-supercritical coal-fired generator units put into commercial operation in August and December 2011. Jiangsu Electric Power Construction Company was mainly responsible for the dismantling, hoisting, installation, and other related work of equipment such as the medium pressure cylinder, low pressure cylinder, high pressure cylinder, rotor, high and medium pressure main steam valves, generator, and collector ring chamber of the No. 1 unit's steam turbine. After the completion of the overhaul project, the safety and economic efficiency of the unit's operation will be further improved, providing a solid foundation for ensuring energy supply for this winter and next spring.
