On November 27th, according to local media reports, Thyssenkrupp's subsidiary Thyssenkrupp Galmed in Spain will close its factory in Sagunto due to the deteriorating European car market and reduced demand for galvanized steel products. After the closure of the Sagunto factory, the company plans to supply local and foreign customers through its factories in Germany. All 120 employees of the factory will be laid off, and Thyssenkrupp Galmed is in negotiations with Volkswagen's battery factory to find employment opportunities for its employees.
