Strengthening cost support and weakening demand put monthly PV glass price negotiations in a deadlock  

In November, the quotations of domestic photovoltaic glass companies are temporarily stable. As of now, the price of 2.0mm coated glass is 17.5-18.5 yuan/square meter, and the price of 3.2mm coated glass is 26.5-27.5 yuan/square meter. A new round of quotations for December has recently arrived. During the negotiation period, the current mentality of module manufacturers to lower prices is still relatively strong. However, at the same time, the cost of glass has increased recently. The glass price negotiation period is expected to be extended, and the deadlock between sellers and buyers is obvious.

Regarding subsequent price forecasts, SMM believes that photovoltaic glass pricing will still fall in December, but the decline will not be too large. This is mainly due to the strong support provided by cost, but demand has indeed weakened and glass inventory has also increased. It is expected that the price of photovoltaic glass will fall by 0.25-1.5 yuan/square meter in December.
