Mining giant Rio Tinto has begun the process of recycling steel at its Gove alumina refinery in East Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory of Australia. The demolition is part of the wider closure plan for its Gove operations, where bauxite mining could cease by the end of this century. The demolition project is considered to be one of the largest in Australia, and in the world."

[ Bharat Coking Coal Output Grows 2.8% in August ]

Despite a sharp 65.9% drop in non-coking coal output, the core metallurgical segment drove total raw coal production to 2.21 million tonnes for the month. Opencast mining operations were the primary contributors to this volume, generating 2.19 million tonnes of the total yield.
