SMM Daily Comment: Short-term coke prices may show a slightly bullish trend. On the supply side, coking plants are currently shipping well and their coke inventories are running at low levels. The online bidding market for coking coal has warmed up, traders have entered the market, and coking plants have difficulty purchasing some rare coal varieties, resulting in a decrease in production capacity. On the demand side, downstream steel prices have risen and steel mills have seen a significant improvement in profits. Some steel mills have begun to resume production, and iron ore output is expected to increase, and coke demand is beginning to improve. Overall, short-term coke prices may show a slightly bullish trend.
