According to the China Iron and Steel Industry Association on November 10th, the 2023 Annual Meeting and Blast Furnace and Coke Oven Ultimate Efficiency Special Technical Docking Conference was successfully held in Hancheng City on November 8th. According to Gao Xiangming, Vice President of the China Iron and Steel Industry Association, as of October 31, 2023, 99 steel enterprises (including one ball group enterprise) have completed ultra-low emission transformation and evaluation monitoring, of which 73 steel enterprises have completed the whole process of ultra-low emission transformation, involving about 362 million tons of crude steel capacity; 26 steel enterprises have completed the partial process of ultra-low emission transformation, involving about 108 million tons of crude steel capacity; 36 enterprises under review involve about 83 million tons of crude steel capacity. The ultra-low emission transformation progress of the steel industry is accelerating.

[ Bharat Coking Coal Output Grows 2.8% in August ]

Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) announced that its coking coal production increased by 2.8% year-on-year to 2.18 million tonnes in August 2026. Despite a sharp 65.9% drop in non-coking coal output, the core metallurgical segment drove total raw coal production to 2.21 million tonnes for the month. Opencast mining operations were the primary contributors to this volume, generating 2.19 million tonnes of the total yield.
