The Yunnan Provincial People's Government Office recently issued the "Yunnan Province Coal Industry High-quality Development Three-year Action Plan (2023-2025)", which mentioned accelerating the release of advanced production capacity of open-pit coal mines, supporting the expansion of scale and nuclear capacity of open-pit coal mines, and adjusting the construction scale or expanding and reconstructing the remaining service life of open-pit coal mines with good resource ticket conditions, large single-pit output, and high safety guarantee. Not less than 10 years. Support open-pit coal mines with conditions for capacity verification to increase capacity according to actual production capacity. Accelerate the implementation of underground-to-open-pit mining for well-equipped underground coal mines. Moderately advance the start of some new coal mine projects, optimize the service life of coal mine projects, and for some projects with good resource ticket conditions, large single-face production, and suitable for the construction of large-scale intelligent coal mines but with limited resources, the service life can be appropriately reduced after demonstration, and the service life is not less than 30 years.
