SMM Steel News, October 26: This week's total hot-rolled coil inventory was 3.6554 million tons, down by 121,800 tons from last week, down by 3.22% year-on-year and up by 27.81%. Hot-rolled coil total inventory, social inventory and plant inventory have maintained a downward trend for three consecutive weeks, and the rate of destocking has expanded. On the supply side, hot-rolled coil output continued to decline this week. On the demand side, the price of hot-rolled coil showed a "V" shape this week, stimulating terminal demand at high prices, which overall led to the continued destocking of social inventory.
