On October 24, the China Iron and Steel Industry Association released the operation situation of China's iron and steel industry in the first three quarters. The output of steel in China exceeded 100 million tons in the first three quarters, an increase of 6.1% year-on-year. In the first three quarters, China's crude steel output was 795 million tons; pig iron output was 675 million tons, an increase of 2.8% year-on-year; steel output was 10.29 billion tons, an increase of 6.1% year-on-year; in the first three quarters, the total export of steel in the country was 66.818 million tons.

[ Bharat Coking Coal Output Grows 2.8% in August ]

Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) announced that its coking coal production increased by 2.8% year-on-year to 2.18 million tonnes in August 2026. Despite a sharp 65.9% drop in non-coking coal output, the core metallurgical segment drove total raw coal production to 2.21 million tonnes for the month. Opencast mining operations were the primary contributors to this volume, generating 2.19 million tonnes of the total yield.
