SMM Hot Rolled Coil Inventory: Supply Pressure Continues to Ease, Inventory Decline Continues This Week. This week's total hot-rolled coil inventory was 3.7688 million tons, down 127,800 tons from last week, down 3.28% year-on-year and up 24.41% year-on-year. This week's total hot-rolled coil inventory, social inventory and plant inventory all decreased slightly. This week's hot-rolled coil output continued to decline, mainly due to the further expansion of steel plant maintenance. On the demand side, recent weak price rebounds, procurement and processing levels have improved in many places, and the decline in output and slight warming of demand have led to an increase in inventory declines this week.

[ Bharat Coking Coal Output Grows 2.8% in August ]

Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) announced that its coking coal production increased by 2.8% year-on-year to 2.18 million tonnes in August 2026. Despite a sharp 65.9% drop in non-coking coal output, the core metallurgical segment drove total raw coal production to 2.21 million tonnes for the month. Opencast mining operations were the primary contributors to this volume, generating 2.19 million tonnes of the total yield.
