Global iron ore shipments by SMM totaled 33.07 million tons, up 10% year-on-year. Of which, Australia shipped 19.59 million tons, up 9.8% year-on-year; 16.66 million tons were shipped to China, accounting for 85% of Australia's total shipments, up 25% year-on-year. Brazil shipped 6.9 million tons, up 2.7% year-on-year; 3.66 million tons were shipped to China, accounting for 53% of Brazil's total shipments, up 54.4% year-on-year.

[ Bharat Coking Coal Output Grows 2.8% in August ]

Despite a sharp 65.9% drop in non-coking coal output, the core metallurgical segment drove total raw coal production to 2.21 million tonnes for the month. Opencast mining operations were the primary contributors to this volume, generating 2.19 million tonnes of the total yield.
