Recently, during the 12th China International Steel Conference and the 2023 Global Low-Carbon Metallurgy Innovation Forum, Tan Chengxu, the rotating president of the China Iron and Steel Industry Association and chairman of Angang Group, met with Cui Zhengyou, the president of the World Steel Association and CEO of POSCO Holdings. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening communication and deepening green and low-carbon cooperation. Both sides agreed to make full use of the advantages of past cooperation experience and geographical proximity, strengthen mutual visits and explore greater green and low-carbon technology and business cooperation space.

[ Bharat Coking Coal Output Grows 2.8% in August ]

Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) announced that its coking coal production increased by 2.8% year-on-year to 2.18 million tonnes in August 2026. Despite a sharp 65.9% drop in non-coking coal output, the core metallurgical segment drove total raw coal production to 2.21 million tonnes for the month. Opencast mining operations were the primary contributors to this volume, generating 2.19 million tonnes of the total yield.
