The China Iron and Steel Association announced that in early October 2023, the key statistics of steel enterprises were 20.8304 million tons of crude steel, 19.2497 million tons of pig iron and 20.3036 million tons of steel products. Among them, crude steel daily output was 2.083 million tons, an increase of 0.81% compared with the same period last year, and an increase of 11.20% compared with the same period of the previous year; pig iron daily output was 1.925 million tons, an increase of 1.84% compared with the same period last year, and an increase of 15.21% compared with the same period of the previous year. It is estimated that the national daily output of crude steel in this period was 2.7111 million tons, an increase of 0.72%, daily output of pig iron was 2.376 million tons, an increase of 1.75%, and daily output of steel products was 3.5362 million tons, a decrease of 0.06%.
