According to SMM research, as of October 10, the opening rate of 34 major building material electric furnace steel mills in the country was 35.47%, a decrease of 4.76 percentage points year-on-year; the capacity utilization rate was 37.24%, a decrease of 6.06 percentage points year-on-year; the daily output of building materials was 66,300 tons, a decrease of 10,800 tons year-on-year.

[ Bharat Coking Coal Output Grows 2.8% in August ]

Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) announced that its coking coal production increased by 2.8% year-on-year to 2.18 million tonnes in August 2026. Despite a sharp 65.9% drop in non-coking coal output, the core metallurgical segment drove total raw coal production to 2.21 million tonnes for the month.
