The State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council held a briefing on the economic operation of central enterprises on October 10. The meeting required that central enterprises should do their best to ensure energy and power supply, actively prepare for peak winter, increase coal production and supply, do a good job in advance in the maintenance of power generation equipment and coal storage management, strengthen power grid line maintenance, and make every effort to ensure the demand for electricity and energy. Solidly carry out the action of clearing arrears, take the lead in repaying other enterprises' accounts receivables, and strictly prevent the arrears of wages of migrant workers. Strengthen safety production, strictly implement the safety production responsibility system, increase safety inspection and eliminate hidden dangers with an attitude of walking on thin ice, and resolutely prevent and control major and special accidents.

[ Bharat Coking Coal Output Grows 2.8% in August ]

Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) announced that its coking coal production increased by 2.8% year-on-year to 2.18 million tonnes in August 2026. Despite a sharp 65.9% drop in non-coking coal output, the core metallurgical segment drove total raw coal production to 2.21 million tonnes for the month. Opencast mining operations were the primary contributors to this volume, generating 2.19 million tonnes of the total yield.
