Ferrexpo, a Ukrainian pellet producer, reported its third quarter of 2023: total iron ore pellet production was 1.349 million tonnes, a 15% increase on a quarter-on-quarter basis and a 49% increase on a year-on-year basis. Pellet production was 1.251 million tonnes, a 17% increase on a quarter-on-quarter basis and a 49% increase on a year-on-year basis, mainly producing 65% pellets and 67% iron concentrate. The increase in production this quarter was mainly due to the successful commissioning of 1-2 pellet production lines (totaling four) by the group.

[ Bharat Coking Coal Output Grows 2.8% in August ]

Despite a sharp 65.9% drop in non-coking coal output, the core metallurgical segment drove total raw coal production to 2.21 million tonnes for the month. Opencast mining operations were the primary contributors to this volume, generating 2.19 million tonnes of the total yield.
