It is understood that most coking enterprises have received clear notices and formulated step-by-step shutdown plans. If implemented according to the plan, it is expected to be eliminated in October. Although there are still 18.24 million tons of uneliminated capacity of 4.3 meters in Shanxi, due to factors such as furnace aging, environmental protection and profits, some coking furnaces maintain normal limited production. At present, the daily output of 4.3-meter coking furnaces in Shanxi is about 30,000 tons. Although most coking enterprises have new capacity plans or have built capacity, due to the need for a certain period of time before the new coking furnaces are put into production, the increase in supply from the new coking capacity is far less than the reduction in coking supply in October, and according to research, coking capacity elimination is mostly concentrated in mid-October to the end of October. During this period, coking production will drop sharply, or may cause local coking supply tightness, thus affecting coking price fluctuations.

[ Bharat Coking Coal Output Grows 2.8% in August ]

Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) announced that its coking coal production increased by 2.8% year-on-year to 2.18 million tonnes in August 2026. Despite a sharp 65.9% drop in non-coking coal output, the core metallurgical segment drove total raw coal production to 2.21 million tonnes for the month.
