According to SMM research, on October 7, the total inventory of SMM national thread was 6.6413 million tons, an increase of 8.70% month-on-month and an increase of 5.65% year-on-year; the total inventory of national disc thread was 1.6345 million tons, an increase of 7.59% month-on-month and a decrease of 22.50% year-on-year.

[ Bharat Coking Coal Output Grows 2.8% in August ]

Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) announced that its coking coal production increased by 2.8% year-on-year to 2.18 million tonnes in August 2026. Despite a sharp 65.9% drop in non-coking coal output, the core metallurgical segment drove total raw coal production to 2.21 million tonnes for the month.
