Coal and Coke Data From National Bureau of Statistics

Provincial output data from the National Bureau of Statistics show that in August 2023, the top five producing areas in China outputted a total of 22.603 million mt of coke, an increase of 2.3% MoM, accounting for 54.4% of the total national output. Among them, Shanxi’s coke output was 8.258 million mt, a decrease of 0.5% MoM; Inner Mongolia’s output was 4.28 million mt, an increase of 8.1% MoM; Shaanxi’s output was 3.714 million mt, an increase of 6.4% MoM; Hebei’s coke output was 3.621 million mt, a decrease of 2.6% MoM; and Xinjiang’s output was 2.73 million mt, an increase of 15.3% MoM.
