According to Statistics Canada, in July 2023, Canada produced 6,732,062 tonnes of iron ore, an increase of 49.1% from the previous month and 14.9% from the same period last year. The total inventory of iron ore produced by Canadian producers in July 2023 was 929,242 tonnes, 8,449,938 tonnes in June 2023 and 8,975,857 tonnes in July 2022. In July 2023, Canadian iron ore producers produced 3,996,167 tonnes of iron concentrate, an increase of 61.6% from the previous month and 17.7% from the same period last year.

[ Bharat Coking Coal Output Grows 2.8% in August ]

Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) announced that its coking coal production increased by 2.8% year-on-year to 2.18 million tonnes in August 2026. Despite a sharp 65.9% drop in non-coking coal output, the core metallurgical segment drove total raw coal production to 2.21 million tonnes for the month. Opencast mining operations were the primary contributors to this volume, generating 2.19 million tonnes of the total yield.
