SHANGHAI, Sep 18 (SMM) – According to SMM research, pure nickel inventory in six regions across China stood at 9,166 mt in the week ending September 15, up 191 mt WoW. In detail, the inventory of nickel briquettes was 150 mt, remained unchanged WoW, and that of nickel plates was 9,016 mt, up 191 mt. Social inventories saw a slight accumulation last week, and domestic refined nickel production continues to increase, with expectations of increased supply still in place. In the short term, downstream demand is improving, but the rate of demand growth is limited.
