According to SMM, the 35th task of the second round of central ecological environment protection supervision and rectification led by Yunching City, Shanxi Province has been rectified and accepted through inspection and acceptance. In accordance with the requirements of the Measures for Supervision and Rectification of Central Ecological Environment Protection, the rectification situation of the task is hereby publicized as follows: Since 2021, 5 capacity replacement projects have been completed and put into operation, 6.51 million tons of iron smelting capacity and 8.5 million tons of steel smelting capacity have been replaced, and the crude steel capacity has decreased from 73.8 million tons in 2020 to 72.25 million tons in June 2023, a total reduction of 1.55 million tons. Acceptance and inspection were carried out for the capacity replacement projects in Jincheng, Linfen and Yunching cities. The Implementation Plan for Upgrading and Transformation of Restricted Process and Equipment in Shanxi Iron and Steel Industry was issued to improve the level of process and equipment in the iron and steel industry and promote the high-quality development of the iron and steel industry.
