The Baltic Dry Index (BDI) fell on Tuesday, as the Capesize index touched its lowest level in nearly six months, offsetting the impact of the rise in the Panamax index. The BDI fell 20 points, or 1.8%, to 1063, its worst performance in over a month. The Capesize index fell 75 points, or 7.0%, to 997 points. The Capesize daily earnings decreased by $621 to $8,266. The Panamax index rose 3 points to 1481 points. The Panamax daily earnings increased by $21 to $13,326. The Supramax index rose 13 points, or 1.3%, to 1008 points.
