The China Logistics and Purchasing Federation Energy Supply Chain Branch and the National Coal Trading Center recently held a national coal demand trend analysis seminar in Beijing. At the meeting, more than 20 representatives from major power, steel, coal sales, building materials and chemical industries, ports and other enterprises reported on coal procurement and the implementation of medium and long-term contracts. Members from the Economic Operation Regulation Bureau of the National Development and Reform Commission were present to guide the meeting, pointing out that the meeting made a good exploration of the accuracy of the data on the operation of the coal supply chain, and in the future it should coordinate the relationship between supply and demand, current and long-term, market and government, in order to promote the stable operation of the coal market and the high-quality development of the industry.

[ Bharat Coking Coal Output Grows 2.8% in August ]

Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) announced that its coking coal production increased by 2.8% year-on-year to 2.18 million tonnes in August 2026. Despite a sharp 65.9% drop in non-coking coal output, the core metallurgical segment drove total raw coal production to 2.21 million tonnes for the month. Opencast mining operations were the primary contributors to this volume, generating 2.19 million tonnes of the total yield.
