According to SMM research of 16 sample steel mills, the planned output of non-oriented silicon steel from June to August only fluctuated slightly, and the planned output of 10 full-process steel mills were 739,500 tons, 718,000 tons and 728,000 tons respectively; the planned output of 6 semi-process steel mills were 158,000 tons, 178,000 tons and 169,000 tons respectively. Downstream small and medium-sized enterprises orders are poor, can the cost increase push the price of non-oriented silicon steel up?"

[ Bharat Coking Coal Output Grows 2.8% in August ]

Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) announced that its coking coal production increased by 2.8% year-on-year to 2.18 million tonnes in August 2026. Despite a sharp 65.9% drop in non-coking coal output, the core metallurgical segment drove total raw coal production to 2.21 million tonnes for the month. Opencast mining operations were the primary contributors to this volume, generating 2.19 million tonnes of the total yield.
