Zhang Xuequan, director of the Lithium Battery New Materials Research Institute of Beijing Easpring Material Technology, said that there are many challenges in sodium battery cathode materials. In order to solve this issue, Easpring Material Technology has developed aggregation monocrystal battery materials, which are featured by low residual alkali, high density and high capacity. Its aggregation battery materials have entered the stage of mass production of 100 mt, and monocrystal battery materials have entered the stage of pilot test. Zhang Xuequan revealed that Easpring Material Technology currently has a dedicated workshop with an annual output of 10,000 mt of sodium cathode materials, and the planned production capacity of polyanion sodium cathode materials in 2025 is 20,000 mt per year.
