It is able to power electric vehicles for up to 1,000 kilometres on a single charge and can be charged from 20% to 80% SOC in just 10 minutes. The release of this power battery is not only an important breakthrough in the development of Sunwoda's power battery technology, but also an important innovation in the progress of the new energy vehicle industry. With the launch of "flash charging battery" and other series of products and solutions, Sunwoda will continue to invest massively in scientific research to develop batteries and battery modules with high energy density and fast charging performance, and to develop batteries with energy density of 280-350Wh/kg. It has achieved various application scenarios of fast charging in 10/15/20/30 minutes. It plans to develop batteries that could power EVs for more than 1,000 kilometres on a single charge.

Global power battery installations in the first three quarters approach 1 TWh: one company drops out of the TOP10, while two rise three places!
On November 2, South Korean research firm SNE Research released its latest installation data, showing that global power battery installations reached 994.5 GWh in the first three quarters of 2026, up 19.7% YoY from 830.7 GWh in the same period last year. In September alone, installations hit 145.1 GWh, a record monthly high, up 15.8% YoY. Amid continued global market expansion, the competitive landscape of the power battery industry is undergoing sharp differentiation, with Chinese battery makers continuing to gain ground while Japanese and South Korean giants are collectively under pressure.

[SMM ESS Flash] LG Energy Solution Targets Over 70 GWh of Storage Cell Capacity by 2027
LG Energy Solution said at its third-quarter earnings call on 3 November that it expects pouch energy storage system capacity to exceed 50 GWh by the end of 2026 and rise above 70 GWh in 2027, converting some electric-vehicle lines to storage use and adding prismatic storage lines, as it chases North American demand driven by AI data centres. Third-quarter storage cell shipments rose more than 60% quarter on quarter with storage revenue above 30% of the total, the order backlog reached 160 GWh, and fourth-quarter storage shipments are guided up about 40% quarter on quarter. The company plans to mass-produce LFP 2170 cylindrical cells in the first half of 2027 and is accelerating sodium-ion development, with samples due at its Ochang plant by year-end and test deliveries to North American customers in 2027. LG Energy Solution posted third-quarter revenue of KRW 9.6 trillion and operating profit of KRW 756 billion with a net loss of KRW 296.9 billion including minority interests, and is diversifying cathode, anode and electrolyte suppliers to meet US restrictions related to prohibited foreign entities.
