The average operating rate of Chinese aluminium foil producers stood at 74.61% in April, down 0.82 percentage point month on month and 2.03 percentage points year on year.
According to several market players, the performance of the aluminium foil market in April this year was not satisfactory. The domestic terminal market did not see a full recovery, and overseas demand was also very sluggish. Domestic and overseas orders of most aluminium foil companies declined simultaneously in April.
In May, most market players are worried that aluminium foil companies will enter the traditional off-season late in the month, which means that orders will be even poorer than in April. Therefore, the average operating rate is expected to fall again.
