






In May, falling aluminium prices have fuelled market pessimism. Suppliers of aluminium scrap held onto their cargoes, tightening supply.
At the same time, downstream scrap users resumed production after Labour Day holidays, boosting demand slightly. However, the market reported that orders have declined recently, and demand support has weakened.
The market is pessimistic due to the off-season, and the aluminium prices may remain weak. As such, aluminium scrap prices are likely to fall as well.
