






Copper prices rose first and then fell during the week, and suppliers of copper scrap sold at highs, growing copper scrap supply early last week.
This increased the access to raw materials for copper rod plants using copper scrap as raw materials. But falling copper prices in the middle of the week prompted sellers to hold back cargoes.
The precipitous declines in copper prices at the week's end drove sellers to reduce supplies. The supply of copper scrap remained tight.
