Salary in China Urban Non-Private Sector Jumped in 2022

According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), in 2022, the average annual salary of employees in China’s urban non-private sector stood at 114,029 yuan, an increase of 6.7% over the previous year, and the growth rate is 3.0 percentage points lower than that in 2021.

The actual increase was 4.6% after deducting price factors.

The average annual salary of employees in urban private sector was 65,237 yuan, an increase of 3.7% over the previous year, and the growth rate fell 5.2 percentage points. The actual growth stood at 1.7% after deducting price factors.
