Anglo American Reports Surge In Copper And Nickel Output In The First Quarter

According to foreign news on April 6, Anglo American said that copper production jumped 28% in the first three months of this year to 178,100 mt, mainly due to the increase in production at its newly opened Quellaveco mine in Peru.

The company's 2023 copper production guidance is 840,000-900,000 mt.

Meanwhile, Anglo American's nickel production rose 4% in the first quarter, reflecting an improvement in operating performance.

Nickel production guidance for 2023 is 38,000-40,000 mt.
