Pure Nickel Premiums Hover at Lows at Month-end

On March 30, premiums of Jinchuan nickel were 5,500-5,800 yuan/mt.

SHANGHAI, Mar 30 (SMM) - On March 30, premiums of Jinchuan nickel were 5,500-5,800 yuan/mt. The average premium stood at 5,650 yuan/mt, up 500 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. NORNICKEL nickel was quoted at premiums of 2,500-2,700 yuan/mt, with an average of 2,600 yuan/mt, down 100 yuan/mt from a day ago. SHFE nickel prices fell after surging in the early trading. The spot prices hovered at lows, and the transactions were poor. Nickel briquette prices were 180,200-181,000 yuan/mt, a decrease of 5,100 yuan/mt from a day ago. The transactions of nickel briquette were slack as it was still traded at premiums over nickel sulphate.
